Insurance agents represent an Insurance company to sell insurance policies to individuals and companies, etc. They advise the clients and help them select the right insurance protection policy as needed for life insurance, home, vehicle, business, etc. Insurance means being covered or protected against any hazards.
The insurance industry in India has witnessed exceptional growth in the past couple of decades with increased private participation. It has a mix of public and private companies. To recruit agents a written examination is held to test their personality, language, communication and selling skills, and mathematical ability followed by an interview.
