Banaras Hindu University- Pre Medical Test(BHU-PMT) Entrance Exam
The Institute Of Medical Sciences (IMS-BHU) is one of the three institutes of Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi, India and comprises three faculties. It admits undergraduate (MBBS) students through BHU-PMT entrance examination held by BHU in various cities in India. The B.Sc. (Nursing), BDS, MDS, MD/MS, DM/M.Ch., BAMS, MD (Ay)/MS (Ay) and Ph.D. students are selected through national entrance tests held by BHU in Varanasi. The M.Sc. (Health Statistics) students are admitted through a common post-graduate entrance test conducted by BHU in various cities in India.
BHU holds the Pre Medical Exam (PMT) every year to select the candidates for the MBBS programme and other allied disciplines of medical science. The entrance exam is conducted in the month of May. Students who have passed the Intermediate exam with PCB are eligible to apply. Candidates for the course are selected on the basis of Preliminary Exam and Mains Exam.
Pattern of BHU PMT Pre and Mains Exam-
The paper is divided in two sections each section carries questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology thereby making total questions 200. The marks allotted for each question is 2 and negative credit is 1.
