CMC-Vellore CET (common entrance test) is conducted by the Christian Medical College, Vellore. This exam is conducted for admission to its various undergraduate medical and paramedical courses such as MBBS, B. Sc. (N), AHS Degree courses, Diploma in Nursing, AHS Diploma Course and Analytical Clinical Pharmacology and M. Sc. in various specializations. CMC Vellore Common Entrance Exam is an all India level entrance test, which is conducted every year in various cities across India.
Applicants succeeding the CMC, Vellore CET, can seek admission in following courses-
• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing)
• Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT)
• Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)
• Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology (B.Sc. MLT)
The eligibility criterion for different courses is different. However, there are some common eligibility criteria for all courses. Common Eligibility Criteria for All Courses-
The candidates must have passed the final examination of the 10+2 system (or equivalent) conducted by Tamil Nadu state Board or any other equivalent examination. They should have cleared all the subjects of the HSCE exam. Candidates should be 17 years old at the time of admission.
All candidates who are looking for admission to MBBS/BSc. Nursing/ BSc. MLT/BPT/BOT courses must undergo a competitive entrance examination followed by a practical test and interviews. The entrance examination comprises of objective type questions (MCQ). The paper has questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and the General Ability. It has 60 questions each from Physics, Chemistry and Biology and 120 questions from General Ability.
