Common Management Admission Test (CMAT)

Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is an online computer-based test conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), India. CMAT exam is a national-level admission test to select suitable candidates for admission in all management programmes approved by AICTE. Candidates are given 2 opportunities to appear in CMAT exam. The better of the two scores will be used for admission of the candidate in an academic year.

Graduates with 50% in any discipline are eligible to apply for the CMAT exam. Final year graduation students can also apply. CMAT is conducted in a computer based format. The duration of CMAT exam is 3 hours (180 mins). Each question carries 4 marks and for each wrong answer 1 mark shall be deducted.

CMAT exam has 4 sections-

• Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation
• Logical Reasoning
• Language Comprehension
• General Awareness

The detailed merit list will be provided to the respective State Governments for allotting the students through central counselling or otherwise as per their notified admission procedure. In case there is no central counselling, scores awarded will be used for admission in the AICTE approved Institutes/University Departments.

CMAT 2014
CMAT acronym as Common Management Admission Test – A National Level Common Admission Test- is conducted by AICTE twice in a year for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in all management programmes approved by AICTE.
From 2014-15 session, AICET has decided to conduct CMAT in Foreign Countries for facilitation eligible NRI/PIOs and foreign nationals to appear in CMAT for seeking admission in institutions in India.

CMAT Eligibility
Aspiring candidates should have a Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 Yrs duration. However candidates appearing in final year exam can also apply for CMAT Exam.

In case of foreign nationals the eligibility will be as per recognition and equivalent standards notified by Association of Indian Universities.

XAT – Xavier Aptitude Test
XAT 2015
Xavier Aptitute Test is conducted by Xavier Labour Research Institute, Jamshedpur (XLRI) on behalf of Xavier Association of Management Institute (XAMI). XAT is considered as one of the most popular entrance tests after CAT to get admission in the management courses of various reputed institutes.

XAT scores are considered by more than 100 (106 in 2014) reputed Management Institutes in India to provide admission in various management courses running in them. It is a Standardized test that measures verbal, mathematical and analytical writing skills of the young aspirants to help the graduate schools of business assess the potential of applicants for advanced study in business and management institutes.

XAT Exam Eligibility
Aspirants must have passed bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or must complete degree by 10th June, 2015.

Eligibility criteria for taking admission to various management courses are:

1.Two years Post Graduate Program in Business Management and in Personal Management & Industrial Relationship.

Educational Qualification:
Three years of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline recognized by a University or Deemed University.

Those completing their final examination by June may also apply.

2.One year General Management Program.

Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree of minimum three years duration from a recognized university in India or abroad in any discipline.

Work experience:
Aspirant for XLRI Jamshedpur School of Management XAT Exam, should be employed in a full-time job and must have at least five years of relevant managerial experience as on March after completion of graduation.

3. Four year Fellow Program in Management.

Educational Qualification:
Master’s degree or its equivalent in any discipline or
CA / ICWA / CS with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST) or B.E. / B.Tech degree or its equivalent with at least 60% marks (50% for SC/ST).

Note:-Those completing their final examination by June 10, of the relevant year may also apply on provisional basis.

IIFT Entrance Exam Eligibility
Educational Qualification:
The aspiring candidate should have a recognized Bachelor degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline. However Candidates appearing for a qualifying examination can also apply subject to submission of proof of requisite qualification by 07th October of the respective year.

There is no specific age bar for appearing in IIFT examination.

SNAP Test Eligibility The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks. In case of the SC and ST, a minimum of 45% mark is sufficient.
