A Common Written Examination acronym as IBPS PO CWE is conducted twice in a year by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection as a pre-requisite for selection of candidates for the post of Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee in the 20 below mentioned Public Sector Banks. This test has been approved by each of the 20 participating Public Sector Banks along with Managing Committee of the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) with the consent of the Government of India.

IBPS PO Exam Eligibility

Educational Qualification

The candidate must possess a degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
Age Limits

The aspiring candidates should not be below 20 years and above 30 years in the respective year. Relaxation in upper age limit is as per rules for specified categories including SC/ST/OBC etc.

Nationality

• A candidate must be either
• A Citizen of India or
• A subject of Nepal or
• A subject of Bhutan or
• A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
• A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, & East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
