Investigator (NSSO) Exam
SSC conducts this examination for the recruitment of candidates in the national survey organization staff selection commission in India. This examination recruits candidates for the posts of gazette officers and various other groups and posts.
The candidate’s age should be between 21 to 30 years. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates and who have experience in conducting field survey and data collection work in Government organizations.
The students should have a graduation degree in subjects like economics, statistics and mathematics from a recognized university or institute.
The syllabus consists of General English and comprehension, general intelligence and general awareness.
Students need to appear for the entrance test at their respective examination centers.
The examination is conducted for 500 marks.
There are two rounds of examination.
Part 1 contains written examination or proficiency test for 400 marks.
Part 2 contains personality or interview test which is of 100 marks.
The two papers contain a variety of subjects that should be cleared. For example, subjects like- Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Commerce, accounting, Business law, company law, Auditing, etc.
