Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is an Indian state-owned insurance group and investment company headquartered in Mumbai. It is the largest insurance company in India. The company was founded in 1956 when the Parliament of India passed the Life Insurance of India Act that nationalized the private insurance industry in India.
For the recruitment of Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO)-
The candidate should be an Indian Citizen. The minimum age limit is 21 years and maximum not more than 30 years. Relaxation of Upper Age Limit is given to certain categories like OBC, SC/ST, etc. The candidate should have a Bachelor/Master’s Degree from a recognized Indian University/ Institution with a minimum of 55% marks in the aggregate in either of the Degrees. If any University awards grades instead of marks, applicants should clearly mention the numerical equivalent of the grades in terms of aggregate marks.
LIC AAO Selection Procedure-
Selection is made on the basis of performance in the online test followed by a personal interview of short listed candidates and subsequent Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination.
1. Online Test- Online test is of objective type, consisting of multiple choice questions. The test duration is two hours and the syllabus comprises of Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Computer Knowledge, and English Language with Special emphasis on Grammar and Vocabulary.
2. Interview- Candidates who successfully clear the online test are called for an Interview. Candidates who do not obtain the minimum qualifying marks in the Interview are disqualified.
3. Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination- Shortlisted candidates undergo a Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination and if found medically fit, will be offered the appointment.
