Polytechnic Common Entrance Test

Board of Technical Education, Delhi conducts a Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to various courses in Delhi Polytechnics on behalf of the Department of Training and Technical Education, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi.

The candidates should have completed their 10th/12th class with minimum 35% aggregate in Science, Mathematics and English. The subjects Science, Mathematics and English are compulsory and the candidate should have passed in each of these three subjects without considering grace marks from a recognized board to be eligible to apply for Delhi Polytechnic CET exam.

The candidates who qualify the written examination are called for counseling for admission into various Diploma courses.

Different Tests and their details-

Test 1 – Time duration – 150 mins, Number of questions – 150, Marks – 600, Syllabus – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology as per CBSE syllabus.

Test 2 MOP (English) - Time duration – 150 mins, Number of questions – 150, Marks – 600, Syllabus – Comprehension of English including grammar of class XII level, knowledge of current affairs and logical and analytical ability.

Test 3 MOP (Hindi) – Time duration – 150 mins, Number of questions – 150, Marks – 600, Syllabus – Comprehension of Hindi including grammar of class XII level, knowledge of current affairs and logical and analytical ability.

Test 4 – Time duration – 150 mins, Number of questions – 150, Marks – 600, Syllabus – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology as per CBSE syllabus.

Test 5 - Time duration – 150 mins, Number of questions – 150, Marks – 600, Syllabus – Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as per CBSE syllabus.
