Trained Graduate Teacher Entrance Exam Part II,Main

TGT stands for Trained Graduate Teacher. Teachers having B.Ed. Degrees or other teacher training certificates after graduation are called Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) and these teachers are eligible to teach in junior classes in school.

The minimum eligibility for appearing for TGT exam is that you should have a 4 years integrated degree course from NCERT with minimum 50% marks in the concerned subject as well as in the aggregate or a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate as well as in the concerned subject or you should be a B.Ed. or equivalent teaching degree from a recognized university.

Working knowledge of Hindi, English and a regional language. The candidate should also have some working experience in a school. The Minimum age criteria to appear in this exam is 21 years and there is no upper age limit.

The TGT exam is divided into three parts-

Part – 1

1) General Awareness
2) Current Affairs
3) General Science and Indian Constitution
4) Reasoning
5) Quantitative Aptitude
6) Teaching Aptitude, etc.

Questions and the medium of the question paper will be both English and Hindi.

Part – 2

English -20 questions
Hindi -20 questions

Part – 3 covers your own subjects.
